Proposition Love Jewelry celebrates OUR love. Born out of inspiration, purpose, and love; Sam Street and Jonathan Tack, who were married on October 30, 2008 in San Francisco, founded the company. A few days after their wedding Proposition 8 passed and overturned the California Supreme Court’s decision to allow gay marriage.
On June 24, 2011, same-sex marriage became legal in New York. This historic moment inspired us to become an active part of the marriage equality / gay rights movement by partnering with a top jewelry designer to develop a fine jewelry collection including wedding bands and gay pride rings. We have incorporated a triangle into all our designs as a symbol of the gay rights movement throughout history. We also design fashion rings, EnGAYgement Rings™, pendants and bracelets that give supporters for the cause an opportunity to wear a Prop Love piece proudly. Proposition Love Jewelry proudly donates 10 % of its company’s profits to organizations that support Marriage Equality, Gay Rights, LGBT Youth and Anti Bullying, and HIV / AIDS activism.

We have incorporated a triangle into our designs as an ongoing symbol of the gay rights movement throughout history. Originally the pink triangle was used during World War II to label and persecute homosexuals. At the end of the 1970 ‘s the pink triangle was adopted by Gay Activists as a symbol for gay rights and continues to be our symbol to this day.
